One of the world’s most famous actors and a sought-after name in recent superhero films, Hugh Jackman has shared how he was chosen for the Wolverine film that was released in 1999 and met with great interest.
The Australian actor was new to Hollywood when he auditioned for the first film in the X-Men series, aware that he was seizing a significant opportunity. Jackman mentioned that he spent days studying comic books to better understand the Wolverine character as he prepared for the auditions.
Wolverine Was the Perfect Role for Hugh Jackman

However, Jackman was concerned that his physical appearance might not be suitable for the role. In the comics, Wolverine is depicted as short and muscular, while Jackman stood at 1.90 meters and appeared even taller because he was much slimmer at the time.
